The history of the Grammenos Family winery begins in the late 1970s in the Sinarades area of Corfu by Panagiotis Grammenos. He began making wine on an amateur level and cultivating vineyards with local varieties of Corfu. The Grammenos Family vineyard is located in the village of Sinarades, approximately 2 kilometers from the winery. It extends to the locations Skafonas, Korakas and Vouni in the west-central part of the island of Corfu at an altitude of 250-300 meters. The main varieties of the estate are the white Kakotrygis (named because of the difficulty in separating the stem from the vine during the harvest) and the red Petrokorythos (a variety that loves rocky soils).
